Chippewa Falls YMCA child care programs build positive relationships through curriculum and activities that foster all areas of child development. Our age-appropriate and family-focused programs are designed to provide high-quality, affordable child care. The Chippewa Valley Family YMCA strives on partnering with parents to help kids of all ages receive the care they deserve to grow up happy and healthy. We offer a state certified All-Day Child Care center and BB4C program, along with School Age Care and Summer Camp.

ALL DAY CARE

Our accredited center is designed to offer well supervised, safe and positive care for children during the times when you cannot be there yourself. We offer children an opportunity to grow and develop in an enriching, child-centered, encouraging, pressure-free environment.

 

Ages Served: Four Weeks to Pre-Kindergarten

Days: Monday-Friday (year round)

Hours: 6 am - 6 pm

Nutritional Meals Served: Breakfast, Lunch, & PM Snack

 

Registration is taken on a full time or part time basis.

BB4C

Building Bridges 4 Children is the Chippewa Falls School District’s 4-year-old early learning program. To enroll in this quality preschool program your child needs to be 4 years old on or before September 1st.

 

Children are exposed to daily learning opportunities that include dramatic play, blocks, toys, art, sand and water, books, cooking, music and movement, outdoor play, along with guiding children’s behavior and learning. The curriculum allows teachers to build on each child’s interests and natural curiosity.

 

The YMCA’s BB4C program offers the opportunity for the children to be enrolled in swimming lessons while attending the program. Children also have use of the YMCA facilities such as the gymnasium and large muscle room.

Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday

7:55 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

11:55 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

CHILD WATCH

 

Child Watch is available to individuals with Family Memberships for free! Your child can stay and play for up to 2 hours while you get your workout in. The room is fully supervised and is open for children from infant to 10 years old. 

 

CHILD WATCH HOURS:

Monday-Thursday:

8 am - Noon

4 pm- 7 pm

 

Friday: 

8 am - Noon

 

Saturday:

8:00-11:30 am (Fall/Winter)

SCHOOL AGE CARE

 

BEFORE SCHOOL CARE

Care is provided at Chippewa Valley Family YMCA opening at 6:00 a.m.

Available for children enrolled in all Chippewa Falls Elementary Schools including Public, Catholic and Lutheran schools. Staff and children walk to Parkview Elementary School by 7:20 a.m. to meet their bus or stay at Parkview.

Ages: Kindergarten to 12 years

Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m (Monday-Friday)

Breakfast is provided

 

 

EARLY RELEASE, SCHOOL DELAYS OR SCHOOL CLOSURES

The YMCA also offers a school age program to meet the needs of School Early Release Days, School Delays or School Closures. This program also will accomodate children on district directed Snow Days. 

Transportation from the YMCA to the child's specific school can be arranged through the Chippewa Falls School District bus program.

Ages: Kindergarten to 12 years

Hours: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm

AFTER SCHOOL CARE

This state licensed program offers children Kindergarten – 5th grade a fun, safe and friendly atmosphere where children can unwind at the end of their day. Each site offers a unique program to help individual children develop positive self-esteem. Daily activities may include group games, arts and crafts, quiet study time and outside time weather permitting.

 

Care is provided from 2:30 p.m. - 6:00 pm at your child's After School Program site. An afternoon snack is provided, along with milk.

During the school year the Chippewa Falls YMCA Early Learning Community provides care on days when there is no school. Care is provided at the Chippewa Valley Family YMCA from 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. A nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are provided. Activities may include swimming, arts and crafts, games, group activities and outside time weather permitting.

SUMMER CAMP

 

Camp Chip-a-Y-a is a day camp program which provides special experiences through a wide variety of activities. They include arts & crafts, cooking, field trips, singing, sports, and storytelling. We will expand your children's interests through the unique worlds of culture, drama, exercise, music, and nature. Your child will develop new friendships, experience a wide variety of activities and feel like they belong to a community. Children must have completed Kindergarten to participate.

 

Limited enrollment (80) registration begins in March first come, first serve basis. No online registration is available call the YMCA Early Learning Community at 715-723-5135 to enroll your child today!

CAMP CHIP-A-Y-A INCLUDES

  • 11 weeks of care

  • Hours are 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. with wrap around care from  6 a.m. - 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.

  • State licensed

  • Summer 2020 Registration opens on January 18 for members and February 1 for Community.

  • We will be offering Adventure & Discovery Camp

  • 4 or more weekly field trips

  • Access to Bernard F. Willi Community Outdoor Pool

  • Walking distance to Irvine Park and Fairgrounds

  • Weekly swimming and gymnastics lessons available (teachers are responsible for getting children to and from lessons) ** Parents are responsible for enrolling children for these lessons

  • Full curriculum planned per age group
