SilverSneakers I - Strength and Range of Movement

 Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills.  Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and /or standing support.

 

SilverSneakers Yogastretch

Yogastretch will blend three Yoga styles into one to create a harmony of movement for the entire body.  It is taught from a seated and standing position to enhance the flow and energy created in combination with restorative breathing exercises.

 

Senior Yoga

This class will focus on proper technique to increase bone density, muscular strength and balance.  Poses will be taught for those needing chair support through floor mat work.  Appropriate for beginners, seniors and those wanting to increase their body awareness.

 

Senior Zumba

A slower, low impact version of the regular Zumba class.

 

Basic Cardio

Basic low impact class designed especially for someone that has not participated in fitness classes before. Includes basic floor aerobics along with an extended stretching period at the end.

 

Basic Strength

This class was designed for the person that has not participated in strength classes before. Basic format with a variety of strength exercises using various weights and exercise balls. Includes a short stretch and relaxation at the end of each class.
